When creating this look, I wanted to replicate the flowing, laid-back feel of Ariel’s original costume. This maxi skirt flows along the entire bottom half of the body and fits closely, just like the tail that is actually part of Ariel’s body. Also, this crop top is a more appropriate version of Ariels’ sea shells. When I saw this necklace, I knew it was perfect for Ariel! The coral detail has a beachy vibe. These gold gladiators are easy-to-wear and add a pop of color to this mermaid-inspired look. Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below! Have a magical day! ❤ Jessica
When creating this outfit, I really considered Rapunzel’s character. Because she loves running and exploring, I see her wearing an outfit that is easy to move in, so I chose to use jeans instead of a skirt or dress. These colored jeans are a young, fun look that match the purple in her original costume. The camisole also mimics the fitted, corset type look of the costume’s bodice. The floral print of the camisole and the fun hair clip are nods to the point in the movie where Rapunzel has her hair decorated with wildflowers. This short quote truly epitomizes the heart of the Disney corporation. Every aspect of the parks was planned with love and imagination, creating a wonderful oasis where magic is real and problems are only a distant memory.
